More zest, bigger bucks for Buttons to Hope!

It was delightful to see new, zestful personalities at the Buttons to Hope monthly meet last February 6 at the Kopi Tiam Restaurant, Quezon City. Believe it or not, more and more young, compassionate individuals are joining the league!

You may ask why Buttons to Hope is getting more people involved.

Because it attracts. It persuades.

It encourages people to dream for the seemingly impossible. It makes things happen. It offers fun and friendship. Hmmm, it treats the palate, too.

Buttons to Hope is a project that aims to send select young scholars from Baao to a state university in June. It is run by a group of spirited young fellows whose network expands by the day, and whose resources grow almost effortlessly.

Buttons to Hope nurtures the good in every person. It is the best place to be!

At the meeting hosted by Mia Barandon-Bulalacao and Eena Imperial Francisco, old and new F.A.R.M.ers came together to discuss ideas on how to raise more funds and how to implement the scholarship program. The Buttons to Hope documentary was shown the second time to inspire them to work more.

It would take a little more to raise the P500,000 mark (50% of the original 1 million-peso target) by June. An exciting cocktail night being planned for the summer plus the anticipated donations from F.A.R.M.ers would be the main fundraisers to get to the aim.

As of today, Buttons to Hope has generated a total of P351,578 worth of cash and pledges from various schemes - donations, production, sales and auction. With the increasing amount, more students get the chance to be in school.

Buttons to Hope never runs out of good news to tell!

Things to watch out for in 2010: fresher F.A.R.M. designs and new F.A.R.M. product lines; and the real work for Buttons to Hope! For the nth time, thank you for suporting us. With your help, we will finally make dreams come true!
